DPI Partner Profile Shirley J. Stoltenberg Since becoming a Partner with DPI, Shirley has worked with a wide variety of organizations such as Caterpillar, Visteon, Better Minerals and Aggregates, Inc., Tesa Tape, Inc., Henry Ford Medical Group, Cigna Healthcare of Arizona, Shurtape Technologies, Schwan's, Brinks, Harris Group, OMG, ViaTech, Wellman, Inc. and numerous other public and privately held companies in the United States.
Early in her career, Shirley spent fifteen years in veterinary medicine, culminating in her role as hospital administrator for the first community hospital concept in veterinary medicine to be established in the United States.
Shifting her focus from veterinary to human medicine, Shirley declined acceptance to medical school in favor of a career in the pharmaceutical industry. She spent nearly fifteen years in various roles with Glaxo, then GlaxoWellcome, including sales, marketing, product development, global commercial strategy, and ultimately global corporate strategy, acting as one of seven Corporate Strategy Advisors to Sir Richard Sykes and the Executive Board of GlaxoWellcome plc in their London offices.
Shirley departed the pharmaceutical industry to become President of Oxford Clinical Communications (OCC), a medical communications company based out of London and Oxford, England. After growing that business substantially, Shirley returned to the United States as a Partner with Decision Processes International starting an office in Raleigh, North Carolina from which she currently operates her business.
